“La Paz” Hospital in Madrid received on June from the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) the certification to manufacture two new drugs with advanced therapy for personalized treatment in cancer processes. This is encouraging news for patients with certain blood cancers, especially those who relapse after being given a commercial CAR-T.
With the certificate obtained by the AEMPS for the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology service unit, La Paz hospital becomes the only hospital in Spain authorized to produce the so-called CAR-T Dual within the framework of clinical research.
It will be able to offer these advanced therapy treatments to children, teenagers and young adults.
