INAUGURATION OF THE NEW GENE THERAPY PLANT OF VIRALGEN

Yesterday, June 30th, the biotechnology company Viralgen inaugurated its new facilities in the Miramón technology park (Guipúzcoa, Spain). With this plant, in which Albian Group is proud to have contributed to the design and construction, Viralgen is at the forefront of gene therapy.

It is a unique plant in Europe and at the same time one of the most important gene therapy centers in the world. The main activity of these facilities, with a surface area of 14,000 m2, will focus on manufacturing viral vectors for gene therapies.

The opening ceremony was chaired by the Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu, also accompanied by the Science and Innovation Minister, Pedro Duque.
